St. Louis man charged in Nixa drive by shooting, police chase

A St. Louis man is facing multiple charges in Nixa in connection to a drive by shooting and high speed police chase over the weekend. Michael Madison, 35, is charged with seven felonies including first degree assault and armed criminal action for allegedly firing multiple rounds at a vehicle Saturday morning (January 5), and then fleeing officers who attempted to pull him over on Highway 160, where a police pursuit reached speeds of more than 100mph through Nixa. During the pursuit Stone County deputies were able to disable Madison’s vehicle, ultimately causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash, according to reports.
