Man wanted in 2018 lottery theft at Oxley convenience store apprehended

KTLO – A man wanted in a 2018 lottery theft at an Oxley convenience store is now in ploice custody. According to online media reports, Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell said, William Moppin III of Hot Springs, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the incident in which Moppin and 42-year-old Jessie E. Fletcher, allegedly stole the entire inventory of lottery tickets from the Highway 66 Country Mart and then attempted to cash them in at stores in Harrison, Harmon and Yellville, according to the probable cause affidavit. Both men are facing multiple charges in the case.
