Pleasant Hope man injured in one vehicle crash west of Branson has been identified

The Pleasant Hope man injured when his dump truck overturned Friday (April 12) west of Branson has been identified. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Gary Polk, 55, lost control of his dump truck on Sycamore Church Road, and rolled several times before crashing into several trees, trapping Polk inside the vehicle, according to online media reports. It took crews about 30 minutes to pry Polk from the truck. He was airlifted to CoxSouth hospital in Springfield, according to the patrol report.
