Many homeowners sustained significant damage from an EF-2 tornado, which uprooted oak trees, ripped up fences and tore roofs off some homes in Rogersville. Residents say there is still standing debris throughout the community because a lot of people are still waiting on insurance companies to settle and for contractors to rebuild, according to online media reports. Several construction companies said residents are having to wait about 4 to 6 months for repairs, news reports state.
